So, this morning we were sitting around the Daily Discharge boardroom table having our usual morning meeting. The topic at hand was who’s turn it was to roll the next spliff. Jason admitted to the responsibility and the meeting moved on to who would get to do the review on high class hookers,which would of course be paid for by the site.
This hooker is standing on the street and therefore not high class.
With the argument hotting up it looked like the meeting would turn into the usual bloodbath till Jason put down the rizla and cleared his throat. Conversation around the table ceased as we all turned to consider what could possibly cause him to cease the highly important job he was meant to be handling. “I think”, said he, “that we should have a twitter account for the page”. “I already have a twitter, The address is http://twitter.com/kyle_ecks” I pointed out to him in a subtly mocking fashion “As do Richard and Nick. I don’t know about the others but if you want one feel free to make one for yourself.”
This delayed my spliff
He then came up with some absurd reason that we should have a twitter page for the site rather than everyone who felt like having a twitter account simply making their own. Sensing that the spliff would pointlessly delayed were this conversation to continue I simply agreed with his lunatic idea and made a twitter account for the page.
At this point my spliff is still delayed.
The spliff smoking commenced shortly thereafter and I left to go have my tea time nap, having left the responsibility of the twitter account I’d created in his hands. When I awoke I took a moment to poke around the site and couldn’t for the life of me find any mention of our new microblogging tool. A quick check on facebook showed that he’d posted a link on the fan page but never mentioned anything on the actual site. Well aware that some of our readers don’t follow our fan page I took it upon myself to tell you, the reader, that yes, we do have a twitter page. you can find it at http://www.twitter.com/tdailydischarge.

We will be putting a proper twitter button up at some point but that will be dependent on when Solly comes off the mescaline I slipped in his drink when he wasn’t looking.
