Noctura: Emerging Artists

Emerging from the scene in Indianapolis, Noctura is a lively Rock band that is easy to fall in love with.  They draw their inspiration from the likes of Evanescence (www.evanescence.com ) and Within Temptation (www.within-temptation.com ).The Band is made out of Mandy Suiter (Vocals, piano, orchestral arrangements, programming) and Jeremy Roche (Guitars, drums, programming). They met in 2007 and have produced 7 demo tracks on their own.

Noctura recently enlisted the help of Producer Dan Certa (www.dancerta.com ) who you might be more familiar with as the producer of: We are the Fallen, Hana Pestle and Kelly Clarkson. They are currently working on a new album which is projected to be released sometime in 2010.Latest on the update list is that Jeremy has already finished the guitars for the newest song.  In the mean time here is a YouTube clip (sadly no video) of their single, ‘My Last Goodbye’ for you to listen to:

If you are a fan of Evanescence or have a feel for rock, this band will definitely tickle your fancy. It’s eerie but not in the way that makes you hug your pillow when you go to sleep at night. Their lyrics are something you can relate to and this chick has killer vocals.

The vibe set out by this band makes me think of Nightwish (www.Nightwish.com ), for you that don’t know; they are a metal band with a very strange but intriguing female vocalist. Noctura might just be a little more commercial and by that I mean that they are the perfect blend of mystery that will suit any weirdo, but gentle enough to suit the fancy of those not so in to black, skulls and strange behavior.

Unfortunately (I think) this band has never performed live before but have built up quite a fan base and have received quite a response. They are the #2 highest ranked artists on Jango (www.Jango.com ); having that in mind I think that they might be the space to watch in the future. Considering that they are two doing work that usually requires a few more people,I would say Awesomeness… I hope we get to see a lot more of them.
