With all respect to Mr Louder, and to those commenting on this thread, I believe Shaun was referring to the presentation of the material (which I believe was his point in the first place) rather than the content. Personally I found the content to be drab and uninspiring, but that is my taste. And as we know, there is no accounting for that.

The argument was mostly about the fact that there is a lot more to the dance music scene than that which can be heard on local radio - something Come Down Monday seeks to address by means of presenting the material in an approachable manner. The importance of this cannot be stressed enough.

Well that is really sad, I have been following Nick E Louder on and off for the past 15 years and he has never played anything but good music.

I agree with Dannie (and am glad to hear her opinion thank you very much Jason) I maybe not with the 99.9 but percent but defiantly a good 70 %, and yes he did play what was needed at that time, and most people learnt about beat mixing from him and what he did with that show was great.
Incidentally the show was an award winning show at the SA Under Ground Dance music awards for the best dance show, even over Derrick the Bandits show which was also massive at that time.

Jason to say it was boring just shows us you did not listen to it, and I feel it is very sad that an up & coming DJ like Shaun Holiday would say something like that in an interview, it is very bad taste, especially when his show is nothing to write home about.

You young DJ’s need to remember who paved the way in SA and find yourself some much needed respect, if it was not for DJ’s like Louder you would not have the chances you have now.

I might add that you forget he launched Mutha FM SA’s first on line radio station which also lend the way for all these other online stations!

All I can say I only hope we see him back on air soon!

Noted, Dannie, but in terms of speaking for the rest of Cape Town, I think you should be careful about saying things like that. Personally I think Louder really did cock it up - he played rubbish that wasn't representative of what the dance scene was, and gave people who were new to the scene a very one-sided, boring view of what it could offer.

So thank you kindly for your opinion. Now keep it to yourself.

Peace.

I think you comment about Nick E Louder “Fucking it up” is really un called for?! T

he guy puts his heart and soul into everything he does and loves CT.
Sorry to blow your bubble, but I can tell you strait 99.9 % of us in Cape Town loved the years he was on air with the dance frequency on GHFM, and it WAS just what was needed here at that time!

So grow up buddy you are well out voted!
